Full-scope MEPF BIM coordination for a 12-story, 750-bed multi-specialty hospital featuring 22 operating theatres, a nuclear medicine wing, and negative-pressure isolation wards. The project demanded zero-tolerance clash resolution across medical gas piping, chilled water systems, pneumatic tube networks, and high-voltage emergency generator distribution.

The hospital's 22 operating theatres required laminar airflow ceiling modules with ±0.5 Pa pressure differentials. Medical gas piping (O2, N2O, vacuum, compressed air) had to maintain strict minimum bend radii while threading through congested ceiling voids already occupied by chilled beam HVAC systems and fire suppression sprinkler mains. The nuclear medicine wing introduced lead-lined wall assemblies that constrained all penetration routing.
BIMVEDH Technical Implementation
BIMVEDH deployed a dedicated 8-person healthcare VDC team that modeled all medical gas lines as custom parametric Revit families with real-world fitting geometries. We executed bi-weekly ICE coordination sessions with the MEP contractor, running automated Navisworks clash matrices grouped by floor zone and trade pair. For the nuclear medicine wing, we created radiation shielding verification models cross-referenced against AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) compliance documents. All 22 OT ceiling voids were resolved to zero hard clashes before the drywall contractor mobilized.
